THE FIRST CAR

The first car ever be recorded was back in the 17th century, where a jesuit missionary supposedly built a car for the Chinese emperor Chien Lung in 1678. However, there is no information of the vehicle, only the event. Only in the late 18th century could Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot build a steam-powered artillery tractor in 1770 and 1771. Since it was the first car, the car was extremely slow (3-5mph was the top speed), its weight was enormous, and its steering was horrific. This is the car that made the current cars have navigation, ABS systems, stability control, HID/Xenon headlights, LED lights, audio, disc brakes, and so much more. Without this car, we wouldn't have the cars we have today.
