FOCUSING ON THE TIRES: MICHELIN DEFENDER

As much as cars are technologically improving, the tires are doing the same. Just about 100 years ago, there were no such things as TPMS systems, it was just plain rubber. However, as technology improved materials like sythetic rubber, wire, and other chemical compounds began to be used. Over the recent years, tires that were fuel-efficient and lasted longer become more and more popular. Tires like the Michelin Defender are the most recent attempt to do this, since this is made with specific materials so they last longer while conserving fuel. Michelin says that this tire can last for 90,000 miles, which is about how much a car runs in about 5 years time.
