DISCONTINUED: LEXUS HS 250h

2011-lexus-hs-250h-rear-three-quarterWhen cars are discontinued, the response of the public is mostly sadness, praise to the car, and sometimes mourning. After the Lexus HS 250h was discontinued today according to the Lexus, the response was quite the opposite. There are a few reasons why they would dislike this car. First of all, the exterior design looks...well, bland and a bit behind the times. There are a few spots where there is evidence that they tried to look modernized, like the rear red LED lights. This car is also a hybrid, but gets less miles per gallon than a regular gas-powered car, like the Hyundai Accent. Lastly, this car costs almost 40k. $40,000. For that money you can buy a fully-loaded Volkswagen Tiguan, about 2 base Honda Fits, and more fun cars. Due to this, Lexus suffered poor (by that I mean about 3000 units a month) sales, so they decided to end this car's life. Hopefully, Lexus learned its lesson and makes more consumer-appealing cars next time.
