RECALLED: 2011-2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE

Recall Roundup: 2011 2012 Chevrolet Cruze Recalled For Improper Welds, Engine Fire Risk image

There are two recalls related to the Chevy Cruze the years of 2011 and 2012.

The first issue is about the engine shield, which could increase the chances of a fire. This is because if the oil spilled on the hot engine shield or the exhaust, it could create a fire, possible giving harm to the driver and the passengers. Chevy will fix this issue for free at your local dealer, since fixing is an easy 30-minute process.

The second problem is related to the welds of fuel-tank straps and rear sub-frame assembly, and it might not be correct, or not present at all. This would cause suspension and tank components to separate from the vehicle. There is no mention if the dealers would fix this for free, but expect some sums of money since fixing is a painful 3 hours process.
