2012 WRAP-UP

2012 has been a good year for car automakers. Some received record-breaking sales on their new products, while others were forced to leave the United States market. This year, both Kia and Hyundai once again received previous record-breaking sales of their new Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima, while automaker Suzuki was forced to leave our market after seeing a downfall in their car sales. Here are the top 5 best-sold vehicles in the year of 2012.

1. Ford F-Series- This vehicle has always been a symbol of the American trucks worldwide. Just in the US alone, this car got 645,316 sales in 2012, which was a staggering 227,004 difference compared to the 2nd place car.

2. Chevrolet Silverado- This is probably the second image that comes into peoples' minds when they think of an American Truck. This truck got 418,312 sales, which was still impressive overall.

3. Toyota Camry- This Japanese sedan has been a top-seller since the moment it has been released. Even though Toyota has been making it worse with each generation, the consumers always came back due to its characteristic of lasting around 10 years, which is a long time compared to its other Asian and European competitors.

4. Honda Accord- This is another Japanese sedan that was popular back then, and even now. Unlike Toyota, Honda has been improving it bit by bit, which caused the public to keep on purchasing the Accord.

    5. Honda Civic- The Japanese economy sedan became widely well-known in 2006 for its  improvement in styling, driving performance, safety, and value. Even though previous generation (2012 model) wasn't a complete update, it still received high sales. This is a car that will continue on in the future, and its continuous transformation will interesting to see from afar.
