SAVING RARE EARTH METALS:

Honda has announced that it will launch a program to collect and recycle the nickel-metal hydrate batteries from hybrids and recover the rare eath metals in the battery. This is the first automaker to do so, and hopefully others will follow it. You might think, "recycling batteries makes absolute nonsense, since it will be defective like recycled paper." Honda says the recycled items will be 100% like new, but we can't prove that they are right or wrong. At least they are trying to be more earth-friendly.

The following pictures are the hybrids in Honda's lineup.
