The Corvette was (and still is) a great representation of the traditional American muscle/sports car. Even though its start wasn't so great, the current model is a threat to competitors from Ferrari, The Volkswagen Group (Audi, Ferrari, etc), Porsche, and many more. Also known as the C6, the 2005-2012 Chevrolet Corvette was criticized due to its bland interior, the ridiculous rear bumper made up of pure plastic (if you press hard enough, you were able to change the shape!), and so on. The 2014 Corvette (pictured here) seems to have many different changes. Underneath the camouflage, the Corvette was changed to have HID headlamps, along with the LED headlights. Things like the grille were redesigned to make the car more aerodynamic, thus help with fuel economy. The engine was also downsized to a smaller 5.5L V-8, and the transmission options were changed to a 6-speed manual or a 8-speed automatic transmission. Things look bright for the American sports car, and the new variant should be even better than the previous one.
